Kyle Rinquest is a Soccer Freestyler that is part of the Cape Town Freestyle Crew. They busk around the city and perform in commercials, in shows, and at events.

We ran into him while he was busking at the V&A Waterfront and I have to say the dude has got skills. Unfortunately, we only caught the tail end of his performance but it is still worth watching. So next time you are out and about, keep an eye out for the Cape Town Freestyle Crew – you are guaranteed to be amazed and maybe even crack a smile.

Kyle has been doing football freestyle for 11 years now. He is ranked number 1 in Cape Town South Africa and placed 2nd at the F3 (Freestyle Football Federation) African Championships in December 2013.

He performed in the Official 2010 World Cup DVD of the World Cup in South Africa and have done 5 adverts, one for 33 Export, one for USN, one for Kit Kat in February 2015, one for Streaming English online teaching company, one for Power Horse energy drink and the most recent one for Nintendo’s new handheld console last year in December. He also shot a documentary called DNA South Africa Sessions which is about football freestyle and street soccer in South Africa. Kyle represented South Africa at the Superball World Champs in the Czech Republic in 2014 and 2016 and performed in Mumbai India at the Closing Ceremony of the Indian Super League (soccer). He also competed in a World Freestyle Day competition in Mexico City.
